Chelsea's January activity only means one thing. Potter has until end of Feb to get them going.

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Potter is there to manager the players he is given. Who comes in and for how much is way above his pay grade. That’s why we have so many issues here. An old school gaffer who thinks he knows best. And a chairman who wants to play Football Manager. On a shoestring.

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Strange one this! Not sure this is one of Potters signings.

Why would you let a manager who is struggling to make a European spot spend £105 mil on a player, because if they don't make Champions league football, he out on his arse!

A big gamble by the owners if it was.

Miike. It will be sustainable by UEFA letting more English teams compete in Europe. Spread the money around. And keep the whip hand of the European elites (Top 6) from breaking away. I wouldn’t be surprised if by the end of the decade. The top half of the league automatically qualify for a European competition.?

Shut up swiss you thick cunt. You’ve mugged yourself off in front of everyone. End of.

Fuck knows how you earn a living, you dense prick

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Kaizer you fucking moron. Its 5 years and our revenues are 180m a year (Ok not profit) .Also ever heard of borrowing ? Anyway I was taking an extreme case of 5 X 100m players you dickhead. If you thought that was serious you really are a moron.

No it’s not the 500m spend in that FY as they will pay only a 5-8th if that based on the contract or what agreed with the club. More to do with the fact they can borrow 500m. I guess based on their players value and secure future revenues .

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
they've been abusing the system and stock piling young talent for a long while, started when they brought in arnesen. back then I'm sure it was a way of the mute cunt in charge laundering money, no idea what the latest business model is but I don't see how it's sustainable. especially when the manager is asked in press conferences about the latest arrival and him having no idea about it. let's hope they crash and burn, they've always operated above their station anyway

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Shorty
Correct. Back in the late 70’s early 80’s the common adage was that players move to Spain to become a millionaire, move to Italy and become a multi millionaire
Madrid’s funding has always been questionable and Italy so bent it made Eddie Izzard look straight
EUFA pushed FFP as a consequence of the old order being challenged by the English and PSG
Chelsea have merely applied what Barca called financial levers and Juve fucked up trying

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
I dont get why you'd spend £105M on this fella, Rice and Brighton lad are proven in the prem and surely be cheaper?

Bonkers bonkers transfer policy from Chelsea, theyve spent how much and does their squad look much better?

Can't wait for them to finish outside the top 4 for the next few years and be a laughing stock

RBshorty 12:56 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Exactly. You shouldn’t punish a owner who has the wedge and can take the hit from spending it. Regardless of how obscene it seems too everyone else. Since the so-call elite positions have been threatened all this cloak and dagger with accounting has been entering the footballing.(It’s always been here to a extent.)

Lee Trundle 12:42 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
I don't think you can blame Chelsea for exploiting it. There was nothing stopping any other club from doing this, and I'm sure some already have.

Blame UEFA. FFP has always been a farce.

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Amazing that the loophole will now be closed only after Chelsea exploited it.
Those cunts have ruined the game for the greater good. It started with Abramovich and now this yank is doing the same if not fucking worse. Yet the mainstream media will dig out Newcastle who have built a decent team but haven't gone to the lengths Chelsea have.
I despise that club and everything it stands for and I for one, hope that it all comes back to bite them right on their rent boy arses sooner rather then fucking later and if they want Rice then Sullivan should say 200 million or fucking do one.

jim white is very excitable today. so much so, it wouldn't shock me if he was having an in studio wank at the thought of chelsea's spending

Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
So, besides not have half a billion in Nelson Eddy’s, and not realistically having any chance of raising £100 million a year in player sales for four more years after selling Rice, can anyone see any reason why we aren’t doing this?

Crassus 12:16 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Swiss
The small matter of not having £500m to spend applies too
Chelsea have, can and did - their strategy is merely a means of navigating spending rules, you still need to have the folding

Lee Trundle 11:43 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
They're closing this loophole, so no one will be able to do it to the extent Chelsea have gone to.

Kaiser Zoso 11:42 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
Because it only works for the first year, you fucking simpleton.

Swiss. 11:40 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
So if we say sell Rice for 100m we can book this full amount and ten sign 5 players of a total value of 500m on 5 year contracts but in effect showing an out going on 100m in that same FY . So why the fuck aren’t we going this

Pagey 11:29 Wed Feb 1
Re: Enzo 105million -Chelsea…
For every £10m player that turns into a £110m player, there are hundreds who don’t. There’s a huge element of luck involved.

Brighton seem to have something right though, to be fair.
